The Assignment
Stockholms sjukhem tasked us with designing and developing a new version of stockholmssjukhem.se in WordPress. The project included strategy, information architecture, design, development, migration, accessibility adaptation, technical SEO, and long-term management.
A central part of the assignment was to create a secure and user-friendly website where visitors can quickly find the right information. This involved clarifying care offerings, senior housing, clinics, contact methods, and information for patients and relatives. At the same time, the solution needed to be easy to work with internally. Stockholms Sjukhem had high demands for editorial workflow, structure, accessibility, and future-proofing, not least related to AI and new user behaviors.

Result
The result was a new website adapted to Stockholm Sjukhem's graphic profile and built on a stable technical foundation in WordPress. The design focuses on the values of engagement, knowledge, and care, with a warm and trustworthy feel, clearer entry points, and a structure that helps the visitor move on without unnecessary friction.
The website has good performance, high availability, and an editorial setup that makes it easier to manage a large and varied content over time. As part of the project, an AI-based search function was also developed to help visitors find relevant information on the website more quickly.
